Awali Golf Club hosted a busy weekend of golf with African & Eastern Tournaments taking place on both Friday and Saturday. Following weeks of unseasonal weather, temperatures were up, but thanks to cooling breezes wafting through the fairways, playing conditions were excellent on both days.
The Royal Golf Club held its own version of Masters Week with two golf events over the weekend. On Thursday evening a 9 hole par 3 contest was won by Jason McNamara on count back with a gross score of 28. Ben Elsworth was runner-up, also with 28.
