Husband and wife Steve and Samantha Hill narrowly won the first competition of a new six-week Monday Madness Night Golf Series at the Royal Golf Club, sponsored once again by Coca-Cola.
The Hill couple registered a score of 30.5, closely followed by the duo of Mike Brightmore and Jamie Bowen who achieved a score of 30.725. Luke Coast and playing partner Simon Doyle clinched third place with 31.
Ebrahim Al Hasel and Stewart Tankard won nearest the pin side contests on holes 12 and 16 respectively.
More than 35 golfers competed in the Pairs Scramble competition. The evening was rounded off with a prize presentation in the Members’ Lounge where Sheldon Cameron, the club’s golf operations manager presented the prizes.
The Series takes place at the Royal Golf Club every Monday evening. The 9-hole competitions are open to non-members at the special summer rate of BD18 per night and tee off with a 6.30pm shotgun start. To register, email golfevents@theroyalgolfclub.com
