Whisperer

One of the perils of parking around the Hoora area is trying to find a safe and secure place to park, particularly over the weekend when the area’s hotels and apartments receive a mass arrival of weekend tourists from across the Causeway. It was with great relief that with saturation point being reached over the Eid holiday the big boss’s prime parking bay was empty. The delighted Editor of this newspaper gleefully parked his beloved Charger and went to work only to be greeted moments later by the sound of crash, bang, wallop.

Workmen loading a skip nearby somehow managed to miss the bucket and throw a large heavy tile on the car’s bonnet, the sharp edge leaving a lovely dent and a hole for good measure.

Fortunately the escapade was captured on CCTV and a trip to police station followed. Happy Eid … not for some.
