When The Last Kingdom on Netflix came to an end, many Uhtred of Bebbanburg fans were left wondering what they will do with themselves next. It was as if Game of Thrones had ended and left viewers at a loss ... all over again.

Fret not, because Netflix heard the cries and responded with the Seven Kings Must Die movie.

The series star and executive producer Alexander Dreymon will again play Uhtred, who rides once more across a fractured kingdom with several of the series’ much-loved characters returning. The movie follows the death of King Edward and the battle for the crown,  with rival heirs and invaders competing for power.

An alliance comes seeking Uhtred’s help in their plans and he faces a choice between those he cares for most and the dream of forming a united England.

Why wait to find out when you can watch it now on the streaming network, which had picked up the series from the BBC when they cancelled it after two seasons.

The streaming service had already been working with the BBC on the show, outside of the UK, and The Last Kingdom was distributed as a Netflix Original.

Three further incredible seasons were produced, and the film is a dramatic and epic conclusion to the story of Uhtred of Bebbanburg.
