VW readies new Tiguan
Volkswagen will take on the Land Rover Freelander when it launches a new compact SUV in 2008.
The 4x4 will be called Tiguan and will be similar to the Concept A off-roader seen at the Detroit Motor Show at the start of the year.
The Tiguan name was chosen by 350,000 readers of a German car magazine when they were asked to pick their favourite name from a list of five options.
White cars ‘increase aggression’
It’s not just white-van drivers who are prone to aggressive driving.
A new study shows that drivers of white cars are more likely to speed and be abusive to other drivers.
The study was carried out by Churchill Car Insurance and shows that the average driver of a white car exceeds the motorway speed limit by 12.7mph.
If you want to calm down, try a silver or green car, because these tend to be driven by cool and balanced people.
New Evo packs 360bhp

The Evo IX FQ-360 is the latest in the line of bonkers super saloons from Mitsubishi and goes on sale in September with a price tag of $65,985.
That seems like very little money for a car that seats four people and will crack 0-60mph in 4.1 seconds before blatting on to 160mph.
A new set of alloy wheels also helps mark out the quickest of the Evo line.
