Blogging it like it is

It’s bombs versus blogs as bloggers tap their side of the story on sites like 12manypeaches.com, BeirutSpring.com or technorati.com.

Each blogger has his side of the story to tell and while one asks the Hezbollah chief Hassan Nasrallah to “hand in your weapons and quit your gang-ho [sic] stupidity,” another says that by Iraqi standards “the whole crisis in Lebanon still seems like a walk in the park.”
But the best site I found has been https://www.electronicIntifada.net. Here you can read how the global media is covering the war, the different stands they take, with eyewitness accounts and commentaries. electronicIntifada (EI) has seen more than 323,000 visits and over 1,228,000 page views since the start of Israel’s invasion of Gaza on June 27, and Israel’s war against Lebanon on July 12.
The site has won praise from many quarters. “EI is... something quite spectacular... a highly professional site,” says David Bowden of The Financial Times (UK); “Intended as a news source, the site has slowly been transforming into a work of art...” says The Daily Star (Lebanon). Need I say more?
