An interschool debate competition under the theme Parents’ Responsibility of Children’s Behaviour was held at Indian School, Isa Town, yesterday.
The event was held as part of the debating forum entitled Impact under the school’s English Department. Six schools took part in the competition, opened by principal Dr A S Pillai. The first prize was received by the Indian School team, followed by the Sacred Heart School team in second place. Pranita Bhatia of the Indian School was named the Best Debater and Junita Mariam John from the Asian School second best. The best chairperson was Annette Miriam Jacob Stephen of the Indian School.
