AMERICAN musician Stephen Lee Bruner, aka Thundercat, drops his new album Distracted tomorrow.

The funk and R&B release tackles the current state of the world in which priorities tend to blur when information is delivered in a chaotic manner.

“You have the world at your fingertips with the phone and everything, on a daily basis, you process way too much information,” Stephen said in an interview.

“I think that the important things in life right now are very mixed in with a lot of the insanity of the Internet. It’s really messed up in the actual level of injustice going on in the world, but it also shows up the same as a meme,” he added, explaining that important news tends to not be taken seriously by the Internet and social media.

The album is set to feature many artists, including Tame Impala and Willow Smith, and a posthumous creation by Mac Miller.

The 41-year-old talent is best known for his production work, most notably Kendrick Lamar’s To Pimp A Butterfly (2015). It earned Thundercat his first Grammy Award for best rap/sung performance in 2016 for his contribution to These Walls off the album.

It Is What It Is (2020) earned him his first solo Grammy win in the best progressive R&B album category.
