Colours of India art exhibition at La Fontaine Centre of Contemporary Art, Manama, 10am-1pm and 4pm-6pm.

The exhibition will feature old textiles and objects of art from the Indian subcontinent. For more information call 17230123.

Rock Bottom Café at the Ramee International Hotel, Juffair will be celebrating its fifth anniversary. Music fans can catch American rap group Outlawz in a concert in Bahrain. The sounds of the legendary Tupac Shakur from the Tupac Still Breathing Tour will be heard at the Marina Club. SOORYA Bahrain Chapter will showcase India Festival 2007, a celebration of the music of Padmashri Kadri Gopalnath (Carnatic saxophone), Kanyakumari (percussion). The two-part programme will also feature a dance ensemble in the Odissi-style by Meera Das and her eight-member troupe. Limited tables are still available for the concert by the Celtic Tenors at the Upstairs Downstairs restaurant in Adliya. Tables “downstairs” are now fully booked, however, there are few tables available “upstairs”. The trio is performing with world-class soloist/soprano Deirdre Shannon. The Celtic Tenors feature Mathew Gilesnan, James Nelson and Daryl Simpson and their musical director David Munroe from Glasgow, Scotland. The Tenors, well-known for their classical, folk, Irish and pop music are currently on a tour. Tickets are BD 35 for downstairs and BD25 upstairs including a three-course dinner. Dinner begins at 7pm and the show begins at 9.30pm.

POSH (Poolside Outdoor Soulful House) takes place at the Mercure Grand Hotel, Seef. The event features chill out to funky electro house, beverages, snacks and a cool party that kicks off at 4pm building up all the way up to 11pm. Entrance is BD5 per person and free for ladies before 5pm, which includes a complimentary welcome beverage.
