Gulf Weekly New world of property and investment opportunities

PROPERTY Arabia 2007, the Second Middle East International Property and Investment Exhibition, will be held at the Bahrain International Exhibition Centre from May 23 to May 26.

It will showcase major current and future real estate developments in Bahrain and the Gulf, along with property from the Far East and Europe.
“Property Arabia 2007 is the ideal opportunity for anyone thinking about investing in property or buying a new home to see what options are available,” said Stephen Key, chief executive of Arabian Exhibition Management said.
“Visitors can talk with experts, view models and obtain financing – all under one convenient roof.”
The 3,000 square metre event features over 40 exhibitors from around the world.
On show will be a wide range of properties and property related services including apartments and penthouses, agents, architects, financial institutions, interiors, hotel and tourism operators, new city and town projects, resort and island properties and waterfront and luxury developments.
Show organisers Arabian Exhibition Management, who run a highly successful portfolio of established events in Bahrain including the well-known Jewellery Arabia series, anticipate a considerable visitor turnout.
“The region’s real estate sector continues to flourish and attract interest. This is underpinned by various factors that include high population growth rates, sustained high oil prices and excess liquidity looking for investment outlets, strong economic growth and lower interest rates,”  Mr Key said.
“Governments are also making it easier for foreigners to own real estate in their respective countries and obtain residence permits.”
“More and more people are choosing housing and real estate as a long-term investment option, especially as the recent uncertainties of the stock markets make bricks and mortar a relative safe haven with good returns to be made.”
“Why pay rent to a landlord when you can buy your own home and fix up a mortgage at the show?”
