Gulf Weekly Roadshow coming to town

Ahmed Zayani & Sons and Behbehani Brothers, the official distributors for Chrysler, Jeep and Dodge in Bahrain has brought the Jeep Roadshow to the kingdom.

Specially created Jeep branded buses will travel around the island for the next few days.
The bus drives will culminate in an exciting event at Dana Mall tomorrow and Friday and activities will run from 5pm onwards.
The Jeep Roadshow kicked off its tour of the Middle East in Muscat during the first week of April, and over 110 days, the Jeep tour buses and a team of highly-trained staff and drivers will cover more than 110,000km, visiting 11 key cities in 10 countries.
Using a carefully planned route, the convoy will take part in special Jeep Wrangler events that will also include the rest of the Jeep range – Compass, Cherokee, Grand Cherokee and Commander.
The Jeep Roadshow has proven to be highly popular, and has been a big success in the markets where it has been staged so far.
In fact, the event has gone from strength to strength, judging by the number of visitors that have been welcomed to the roadshow.
In Oman, it attracted over 1,200 visitors, in UAE, the three roadshows attracted more than 8,500 visitors and in Qatar, the roadshow had over 1,500 visitors. The roadshow gives visitors in Bahrain an opportunity to experience the uniqueness of the Jeep brand that has seen it gain cult status all over the world.
The programme of activities includes special demonstrations of Jeep’s legendary off road capability, and professional drivers will put the all-new Wrangler through its paces on demanding test tracks designed especially for the roadshow.
There will also be gifts and giveaways, live music and entertainment, plus the chance to drive remote controlled Jeep Wranglers on a special dirt track.
“We see this as a great way to celebrate the launch of the Jeep Wrangler and Wrangler Unlimited as well as giving Jeep enthusiasts the chance to see and experience the entire Jeep range,” said Norbert Wilhelm, general manager, Ahmed Zayani & Sons.
“Going by the success the Jeep Roadshow has enjoyed in other Middle East countries, we are sure that will it will be a memorable event in Bahrain as well.”
The really big news, and one of the reasons for staging the Jeep Roadshow is that Jeep has once again made yet another revolutionary development to the 4x4 segment, with Jeep designers taking this classic vehicle one step further for 2007 by adding the first ever four-door Wrangler – the Jeep Wrangler Unlimited, to the range.
“Featuring a one-of-a-kind, four-door open-air design, the all-new Jeep Wrangler Unlimited expands the Jeep experience to completely new dimensions. With room for five adult passengers – a Wrangler first – and the most cargo space ever offered in a Wrangler, the Unlimited combines class-leading off-road capability with everyday practicality,” said Alex Minasian, brand manager – Chrysler, Jeep & Dodge, Behbehani Brothers.
By the end of 2007, the Jeep brand line-up will have expanded from three models to seven – the most available to retail consumers at any time in Jeep’s long, legendary history. No other automotive manufacturer in the world has the breadth of range of sport-utility vehicles that Jeep offers – by year end, the model line-up will comprise, in addition to the all-new Wrangler and Wrangler Unlimited, the Commander, Grand Cherokee and Cherokee, plus the all-new Compass and Patriot.
