You don’t know me; I know you, I know what’s being said about you. I’m the ‘whisperer’. I am socially mobile: Arab, Brit, Indian, Pakistani, American and the rest, they all invite me and share their world with me. Not much gets past me but if you think it may have done, email me on.
● The annual not-to-be-missed Dilmun Panto will hopefully take place on December, 5, 6 & 7. It’s a great opportunity for some of Bahrain’s leading expats to let their hair down … all in the good cause of entertaining the kids, of course! Anyone who missed the first meeting on the panto players should leave contact details at reception. If not, boo! Hiss! ● The Director of Public Relations & Communications at one of Bahrain’s leading hotel and spas absolutely adores the island and its history. Reading books and watching videos isn’t enough for this intrepid adventurer – she likes to see things first hand. The other day the newcomer was spotted by a friend of the Whisperer visiting the former dwellings of royalty and other iconic buildings. However, she unfortunately misunderstood one of the signs leading to yet another attraction … and walked straight into the home of an ordinary local family. Apparently they were delighted the wacky Westerner dropped by and were happy to show her around a true Bahraini home. Now that’s hospitality for you!
