THE Splash Winter 2007 collection brings to reality the modern panorama of sophistication in women’s wear.
Themed on Breaking Away from the proper and mundane, Winter 2007 sees Splash escape with glitzy designs and intriguing collisions of styles catapulting everyone, from diva to doll, into the fashion stratosphere. With winter beckoning, the need for more diverse styles is rekindled and Splash’s demeanor towards sophistication matches up with a classic reformation. In the boardroom, take control with a mélange of on-trend greys, taupes and black and whites enhanced with clear colour accents. Corporate Collision adds a flavour that brings its versatile pieces to life in fabric and adornment. Moving from the neutrals, powerful structures meet religious simplicity in the Neo-Classical look of the season. Featuring unique designs, the collective look is fresh and creative bringing to life the expression of a woman’s sense of self-worth. After hours, step away from the cliché and follow the lure of the infamous Glitterati, swing through the twilight hours in the new staple – fearless metallics, striking colours, contemporary fits and full texture. Looking for that show stopping twist? Then the Glitz collection embodies a new understanding in basic monochromes accentuated with beads and embroidery embellishments; an elegant yet emphatically different range to choose from. Move away from the light into darker dimensions, La Bella treads through an eerie landscape of forgotten colours and inspirations. Mulled wine, tinged shadowy mid-tones with blooms of silk green; the dark palettes rush through a line that is filled with drama. In its alter-ego the dark side is designed to provoke, with a glint of cold intellect and a toxic embodiment of bold patterns, cable textures and refined deluxe tweeds. Splash dexterously veers away from traditional winter styles and designs bringing a Polar touch to winter. Ski jackets, fur coats, knitted sweaters, hooded pieces, fur collar and knitted anoraks come together in a look that is utilitarian and comfortable at the same time. For the al fresco, Splash takes modern material and original clothing forms to the Celtic North. The Highlander hunts down comfort and elegance in an aristocratic look that can effortlessly make the transition from simplistic to elegant. Breaking away into stylish sophistication takes every man from his Streetlife to the urban establishment with blazers, jackets and narrow silhouettes. Starting with just one store in 1993, the fashion house is now a leading retailer in the GCC with headquarters in Dubai and a retail network of 60 Splash stores and 60 brand stores across the region. Splash is also the exclusive licensee for Lee Cooper and Kappa in the Middle East as well as the franchisee for Bossini in Bahrain.
