¥ 'Get Reel' is set to perform at the Dilmun Club in Saar on November 29. The band consists of seven musicians including Miriam Morrissey (vocals, manager), Joyce Riley (violinist), Geraint Hughes (whistle/recorder/harp), David Fuglie (acoustic guitar, vocals), Patrick Caulfield, (accordian, vocals and Irish traditional dancer), Mark McFarlane (bass, backup soundman) and Mark Wootton (drums). Five of the seven members all work for Saudi Aramco, Dhahran, KSA.

The event will also have the performance of a women dance group - 'DesertDance' all expatriate working for Saudi Aramco. For more information email getreelband@yahoo.ie.

¥ The Filipino Club Sayaw Unlimited in cooperation with the Philippine Embassy is hosting a Sige Baile! Salsa and Latin charity dance project on November 30 at 8pm at the Baan Saeng Thai Auditorium.

Proceedings of the event will be passed on to FCSU's "Pasko sa OWWA Charity Fund Drive" for the distressed Filipino workers and for a Bahrain charitable institution.

¥ The Kerala Catholic Association (KCA) in association with the Soorya - Bahrain chapter is set to stage the Rhythm Nite 2007 on November 30 at the Indian School in Isa Town and will take place on November 30 from 7.30pm.

Directed by Soorya Krishnamoorthy, the show will feature contemporary Indian dance and drama theatre troupe - Samudra and seven member music group - Trisakthi as well as a list of playback singers.

¥ Renowned Syrian artist Nazir Nabaa will showcase his paintings at the Albareh Art Gallery in Adliya from December 4. Nazir studied painting in Cairo from 1959 to 1964 and then in Paris between 1971 and 1974.

With an impressive record of solo exhibitions all over Europe and the Middle East, this exhibition will be one of his most important exhibitions. The exhibition will last until the 20th of December. For more details contact 17717707 or 39439595.

¥Artist Leonora Francis will exhibit her latest collection of Spiritual Gift Boxes at an exhibition from December 4 to 6 at Frankie's, Unit 110, Najibi Centre (Al Osra Supermarket) in Saar Avenue.

The exhibition will consist of her Spiritual collection, which features around 30 boxes depicting angels, Madonna and child, cherubs and fairies.

The exhibition is open from 5pm to 6pm on December 4 and from 9.30am to 1pm and 5pm to 8pm on the 5th and 6th.

¥Grammy nominee Ustad Zakir Hussain and his ensemble is set to perform on December 6 at the Bahrain International Exhibition Centre's Hall 1. The show begins at 8pm and is being organised by Standard Chartered Bank Bahrain, as part of its fundraising efforts for its 'Seeing is Believing' campaign.

Ticket prices will be announced later.

A special VIP dinner will also be held at the Gulf Hotel on December 5.

As part of their Middle East tour - 'Kumustahan 2007', three top Filipino artists will perform at the Delmon Hotel Poolside in Manama on November 29. Philippines concert queen 'Pops Fernandez', Erik Santos and K Brosas are set to entertain guests at the event.

All three artists will have their own segment culminating in a special Christmas number. Albert Gayo will host part of the concert and contestants for Mr Pogi International 2007 will be presented as well.

The Delmon International Hotel's Indian food festival will run from now until December 15.

Chef de Culinaire Mangal Singh who heads up the hotel's famous Indian restaurant will be preparing a mouthwatering selection of North West Indian delicacies such as butter chicken, paneer tikka, a range of fragrant pulaos and wonderful desserts.

Now in it's second year, the Indian food festival has become a major feature on the kingdom's culinary calendar. The fantastic feast will be accompanied by superb music ghazals by Farida Khan, who has sung vfor various Hindi films and albums such as Dhadkat` Chori Chori and Tera Jaadu Chal Gay.

Accompanying her will be Salami Hussain, who is known for hisversati and rich voice and is a television music show star, having appeared in shows such as Aadab Arz Hai.
