Madonna is making controversial headlines again. This time she's upset the RSPCA after dying the sheep on her Wiltshire estate different colours for a Vogue photo shoot. So what?

It's not as if the sheep are being physically hurt or that they're going to suffer mental trauma from a dye job is it? It can hardly be considered inhumane treatment and it's not as if they were starved to a size zero in order to be thin enough to grace the pages of the fashion mag.

With so much cruelty in the world aimed at defenceless animals, you would think that a society like the RSPCA would have bigger (or at least meaner) fish to fry.

People dress their dogs up in stupid outfits all the time and the last time I turned to a fashion programme on television I was treated to the site of bright pink ankle biting yap-yap.

No one screams animal cruelty at such things no matter how ridiculous they look so why make such a fuss over a few rainbow coloured sheep?

Not to my taste and maybe not to yours, but let's face it, it's hardly headline making cruelty is it?
