AA Bin Hindi, the Kia dealer in Bahrain, has now received the first shipment of the new 2008 Kia Picanto that recently made its world premiere in Spain.
And small is becoming more beautiful in Bahrain as a growing number of motorists become fed-up of the kingdom's congestion and growing problems over parking.
Mohammed Bin Hindi, general manager, Kia Motors and chief marketing officer of the Bin Hindi Group, said: "Compact cars are becoming increasingly popular since they are simple to handle, easily manoeuvrable, convenient to park and consume less fuel - imagine in a month having to spend only BD12 on fuel!
"In Bahrain, with this segment witnessing rapid growth, we are confident that the new Picanto will be the perfect choice for compact car seekers.
"It not only appeals to young new licence holders, but to several other segments like delivery vehicle, fleet staff cars besides growing popular amongst college students."
Kia's design teams in Korea and Europe have revisited the company's smallest car, preserved its 'young, sporty and friendly' spirit, and evolved the new 2008 Picanto with more glamorous looks, an upgraded interior and higher quality audio equipment, added Mr Mohammed.
The car is attractively refreshed and restyled to be 'more rounded and intimate', with an extended, rounded nose and deeper, larger rear bumper. All-new panels are used for the bonnet, front wings, front bumper and rear bumper. The front and rear light clusters are new and follow the 'rounded' theme.
A new wider radiator grille, with black mesh background and twin horizontal chromed bars supporting the central Kia badge, is part of the evolving design process that is defining a new 'Face of Kia'. The standard roof spoiler now extends across the full width of the car, while the wheelbase is unchanged at 2,370mm.
Customers now have the option of choosing from a range of exterior colours.
The new 2008 arrival campaign now has the Kia Picanto for a monthly installment as low as BD58 per month.
While a small family car - Kia Rio is available at BD68 per month, customers have other options of going in for the Kia Sportage at BD109 per month or the powerful Sorento for BD122 per month. The luxury Kia Opirus is available with an installment as low as BD126 per month.
Customers can drive out the elegant Cerato available at BD74 per month or the executive Optima for BD86 per month. The popular family car - Kia Carens is available for BD95 per month while the spacious Carnival costs only BD129 per month.
"They are designed for your life and we welcome you to step into our showroom in Khamis and Ma'ameer to view the 2008 models and drive away in your favourite KIA", said Mr Mohammed.
