Karting fans have something to look forward to this month as the top teams, including Batelco's successful team, go head-to-head in a 24-hour challenge.
The event, under the patronage of General Organisation of Youth and Sports president Shaikh Fawaz bin Mohamed Al Khalifa, and organised by Bahrain Karting Club, will take place on Friday and Saturday at the kart racing track in the Seef district, to celebrate the kingdom's National Day.
Batelco Karting Team has been in the spotlight by always claiming a podium position since 2001.
"This season we've got our own karts which ensures weekly practice sessions for our young and passionate drivers," said team captain Ali Alqumaish.
"Our drivers are very dedicated and put in several hours of practice each week. It's exciting to see our new drivers pick up tips from their more experienced team mates.
"Batelco karting team is certainly one of the top teams to watch out for in the race," said Alqumaish.
