The InterGlobal Think Pink Golf Team donated its winning prizes to the Think Pink charity fund-raisers.

As a result of winning the American Mission Hospital Island Classic Golf Tournament each member of the team was presented with tickets for a return flight to Europe.

However, they were so keen to support the ongoing breast cancer awareness drive that they handed the prize tickets over to Julie Sprakel, co-founder of Think Pink Bahrain.

The team included David Axtell, regional general manager of InterGlobal Limited and three representatives of St Christopher's School - Barry Hobday, the school's golf co-ordinator and pupils Dan Owen and Diego Fenwick.

Mr Axtell said: "As InterGlobal works with a number of schools throughout the Middle East we wanted to find a way to help encourage the participation of pupils in golf and entering a team in the Island Classic seemed an ideal way to present them with an opportunity they may not otherwise have received, especially on a course as prestigious as His Majesty, King Hamad's.

"Donating the prizes seemed an appropriate way to thank Think Pink for allowing us the honour of representing them at the Island Classic and hope this is the start of a long-term relationship for the Island Classic between InterGlobal, Think Pink and St Christopher's School."
