Twelve lucky individuals will have their dreams made a reality this year, thanks to the latest community initiative from Zain Bahrain.

The telecommunications provider's chief operating officer, Dr Ahmed Al Shatti explained: "We all have dreams and for most of us, it is in our own hands to try and make them come true. But for many people, making dreams into realities are made more difficult either through lack of having the right contacts, no funding, physical disadvantages or even the lack of confidence in their own abilities.

"We want to give such people a unique chance to have their dreams come true. The campaign focuses around three key areas that have always been at the heart of our corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives - youth empowerment through education, sports and a healthy lifestyle and caring for individuals with special needs."

Over the course of 12 months, starting this month, Zain Bahrain will invite people living in Bahrain to submit a short summary of their dream and how it relates to the company's three CSR areas.

At the end of each month, a panel made up of independent judges will review every application and then select one winner per month.

Zain has set-aside a sum of money that officials believe is sufficient to help 12 people achieve their dreams.

The selected 'dreamer' will be advised by telephone and details of the 'dream' will be published on www.zain.com. Unsuccessful applicants are welcome to re-submit entries each month.

Dr Al Shatti added: "We wish everyone with a dream good luck - we want to help you make that dream come true." GulfWeekly took to the kingdom's malls and asked eight people what their dreams were.
