¥ The Bahrain Toastmasters Annual Conference (BTAC) will be held on April 25 and 26 on the Adhari: Spring of Life. The Communication and Leadership (C&L) Award will be presented for the first time to a non-Toastmaster leader of Bahrain. ¥ Coca-cola's fifth annual treasure hunt will be held on April 25.
The event is organised by Eventscom and will be held under the patronage of Shaikh Abdullah bin Hamad Al Khalifa, head of the Public Commission for the Protection of Marine Resources, Environment and Wildlife.
It is designed to raise public awareness on environmental issues such as water shortages, pollution, reclamation of land and its effect on marine life, beach pollution, and desertification.
Teams will compete to solve clues, leading them along a pre-determined map route to a range of locations and will be monitored by traffic.
An environmentally-educational youth workshop will be held on Saturday as a prelude to the treasure hunt at the Gulf Hotel International Convention Centre. Participants will be representatives of the Crown Prince's Youth Training Programme aged between seven and 17. For more information contact 17226775.
¥ The Bahrain Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (BSPCA) will present its 10th Anniversary Fashion Show coordinated and choreographed by Stephen Herschel. 'Facets' will be held on April 26 at the Bapco Club in Awali and will feature DJ Krazy Kevin, Victoria Dance School, Lisa Morgan, Lizzy France amongst others. Doors open at 7pm.
