¥ Indian TV game show The Great Indian Laughter Challenge will hold auctions in Bahrain on May 2 at the Gulf Gate Hotel in Manama.

Comedians who speak Hindi or Urdu can register and winners of a regional contest will get the chance to appear on the show. Auditions will begin at 3pm.

The show is being co-ordinated by Bahrain-based Ultimate Events for the Star One TV channel that broadcasts the show.

¥ Coca-Cola's fifth annual treasure hunt will be held on May 25 to raise public awareness on environmental issues such as water shortages, pollution, reclamation of land and its effect on marine life, beach pollution, and desertification.

Teams will compete to solve clues, leading them along a pre-determined map route to a range of locations and will be monitored by traffic. For details contact 17226775.

¥ The WMC Toastmasters is set to host 'The Last Shade of Grey' on May 9 at the Gulf Air Club in Salmabad at 7pm. The play, an adaptation of Shakespearean tragedy Othello, is set in 1930s Arabia, on the verge of the region's oil boom and is written by Suresh Karunakaran. Organised by Vani Krishnan, a cast of over 15 members will perform in the play that is being jointly directed by members Rekha Utham and K Mohandas. ¥ The Albareh Art Gallery in Adliya will highlight the culture, traditions, customs and cuisine of Morocco as part of its Arabian Creative Event specials from April 29 to May 12. Moroccan artists Amal, Hamed Albousta, Hassan, Mohamed Mourabiti and Salah will showcase their works.

The festival is the first in a series to introduce cultural enthusiasts to assorted arts, music, fashion, and cuisine.

The exhibition will feature paintings, photography, print-making, wood, handmade paper, sculpture and glass. For details contact 17717707.

¥ A Robbie Williams tribute act will be staged on May 14 at JJ's at the Al Bustan Hotel in Manama. Matthew Holbrook will entertain guests with his 'Millennium Show' which has been billed as 'the number one Robbie Williams Tribute Show in the UK'. Doors open at 8pm and entry is BD3.
