Many homes in Bahrain have been influenced by 'neo-Mediterranean' or 'classical' designs, particularly in Budaiya area.

Although, the architecture may vary the concept is consistent. Situated between these grandeur homes is a refreshingly new design that gives a different look to functional homes in classy communities.

Hidden behind a large pink wall is an 'Art Moderne/ Art Deco' home just waiting to be discovered. The private one-storey home is located in a quiet neighbourhood near the Jawad Dome and Bank of Bahrain and Kuwait.

The pink and mauve villa is sleek and rounded with low ceilings and large sliding doors acting as windows. Parquet flooring, wood trimmings, rod iron staircase and spot lights add character to the already fully-furnished villa.

Red leather sofas, silver lamps, flowery patchwork and dark green drapes create a trendy and rich atmosphere within the villa, a style resembling that of the 'French Country'. Taking a few style tips from the Victorian and Baroque era gives the interior an inviting and welcoming aura.

Lighting is an important feature within the house. There are different styles such as hanging floor lamps, 'rock-star' lights and dimmers.

The ground floor is made up of a spacious living room attached to a quaint, red and beige dining room. Across form the dining room is a hallway, big enough for a lounge area that leads to the cosy kitchen and guest bathroom. What the kitchen may lack in size is compensated with state-of- the- art appliances.

The villa is also equipped with the latest hi-tech gadgets such as flat screen televisions, washer, dryer and stylish split air-conditioning.

The first floor is made up of four bedrooms and a family area.

The master bedroom is large and has a dressing area and ensuite bathroom with a stand-in shower unit.

The bathrooms are beautifully designed keeping in with the red and beige theme.

The other three bedrooms also feature built-in closets, but only one comes with an ensuite bathroom. The other two share a bathroom.

The front of the house is almost completely tiled with trees and bushes planted around the edges. The villa also boasts its own pool with ample room for a barbeque grill and patio set.

Private parking is available within the walls of the villa, while ample parking space is available for guests outside as well.

This villa is currently for rent with the option of keeping it fully-furnished or semi-furnished if required.

Semi-furnished includes curtains, washer and dryer and air-conditioning while leaving out the flat screen and furniture.
