New Look, one of the UK's most popular fashion chains, makes its foray into Bahrain with its first store at the newly-opened Bahrain City Centre.

The move follows the success of its outlets in neighbouring Dubai, Kuwait and Saudi Arabia.

The new store is a franchise operation in partnership with Landmark International, an affiliate of the Landmark Group (Al Rashid Group, Bahrain) and there are plans to open several more across the kingdom within the next year.

The New Look in the City Centre complex covers 12,686 sq ft, offering a full selection of New Look ranges including ladies wear, footwear, accessories, Generation 915 for teenage girls, menswear and children's clothes.

A company spokesman said: "New Look brings you the latest fashion trends and designs quickly and affordably, with new collections every four weeks."

Since its launch in the UK in 1969, New Look has developed a range of affordable fashion that has made it Great Britain's third largest women's wear retailer and the largest footwear retailer boasting 550 stores, alongside 16 in Ireland and seven in France.

In addition to high-fashion for the style conscious customer, New Look's 'Inspire' section offers styles in sizes 16 - 24 for ladies with a fuller figure.

According to the Guardian newspaper's deputy fashion editor Hadley Freeman the chain continues to inspire. 'New Look has turned itself around from being a purveyor of cheap, cheerful but generally fashion-free tat to knocking out impressively accurate takes on high fashion garments, while keeping their original prices,' she wrote.

And Toni Jones, of The Sun's Woman Fashion section, said: "If you're looking for high fashion heels without the sky-high prices hot foot it to New Look whose huge collection of new season shoes are out now."
