As part of their ongoing sales and aftersales staff qualification programme, the Audi Centre Bahrain recently announced the certification of the first official Audi Service Advisor at the Audi showroom and workshop at Sitra.
Mrs Majida Aradi completed the Audi after-sales training programme conducted by Audi Middle East as one of five participants from the region.
The course, which is set as a worldwide standard by the German head office of Audi AG, consists of several modules covering all brand technology, customer satisfaction and reception handling aspects.
Participants need to successfully complete each module with a test before progressing to the next level. Before graduation a final knowledge test and role-play assessment requires candidates to demonstrate their ability to put theory into practice.
Audi Centre Bahrain aims to officially certify all service and sales staff over the medium term in order to guarantee excellent customer service at all times.
Pieter Kruger, brand manager of Audi Centre Bahrain, congratulated Mrs Aradi and said: "We are proud of Majida's achievement. It equips her with the knowledge and technique to provide even better service to our customers.
"It is in line with our philosophy to constantly improve on the qualification of our employees and sets a great example for all staff."
Audi Centre Bahrain is the official distributor of Audi vehicles in the kingdom.
The brand with the four rings has also been celebrating an increase in its worldwide sales figures in September by 12.3 per cent to 95,137 vehicles (2007: 84,716). From January through September, Audi sold some 762,280 units - an increase of 2.9 per cent (2007: 741,106).
In addition, it achieved double-digit growth rates not only in new Asia and Pacific markets, but also in credit crunch Europe. The principal drivers of growth were the new Audi A4 and the A5 sports coupŽ.
"With the high growth rates in September we enter our strongest quarter of this year. Our goal for 2008 is to sell one million Audi vehicles - and we have rounded the corner at high speed for the home stretch," said Peter Schwarzenbauer, board member for marketing and sales at Audi AG.
"We are growing against the trend: as a progressive brand with appealing models such as the Audi A4 and the A5. Audi is proving that high quality sells even in tough times."
Audi also registered double-digit growth in the booming Middle East.
Best selling model of 2008 so far was the Audi A6 with an increase of 55 per cent over last year. In terms of actual numbers the Audi's seven-seater premium SUV, the Q7, remains in the lead with a total number of 1,649 units sold in 2008 so far.
