CELEBRATED Bahrain perfume-makers Syed Junaid Alam says it is about to introduce a 'true sense of calm and well-being' in 2009 with a vitalising new fragrance for men called Razeen.

In each of its three phases, the powerful fragrance reflects the unmistakable allure of the 'man of today' who is driven by sheer instinct, the company claims.

"In a cascade of shimmering leaves, the initial impression of its citrus note infuses with pure clarity around a heart of blissful lavender and orris," a spokesman said. "Revealing qualities of an uncompromising personality, Razeen unearths a discreetly woody side with a spicy cocktail of patchouli and cedar wood."

Syed Junaid Alam was founded in Bahrain in 1910, and the company has built an empire across the Gulf region and is considered one of the most famous and elite pioneers in the perfume industry.

Having started the company with a vigilant yet unique selection of natural products intermingled with a variety of traditional Arabic fragrances and aromatic oils, the family legacy of excellence continues today.

Although Junaid maintains a vast list of popular traditional Arabic fragrances and oils, its product line is constantly being enhanced with newer products.

Hence the introduction of Razeen, priced BD12 for a 90ml perfume spray.

Operating more than 120 exclusive outlets in the region, with14 in Bahrain alone, Junaid told GulfWeekly it intends to open even more outlets.
