Toro Rosso's Sebastien Buemi, and Bahrain's Formula One resident, will be the youngest driver to participate in the 2009 season.

Having seen the Swiss driver move from strength-to-strength from his karting beginnings, he quickly moved into Formula BMW, Formula Three, A1 Grand Prix and GP2 Series where he was picked up for Toro Rosso.

Buemi, pictured above, right, with his teammate Sebastian Bourdais, said: "My outlooks for the 2009 season are, first of all, to learn and develop a strong working relationship with the Toro Rosso team, taking the car to its full potential and, if possible, scoring some good championship points."

With just weeks to go until Bahrain International Circuit hosts the Formula One Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix for the sixth time, Buemi has his own thoughts on the fourth round of the season. "The Bahrain race is today recognised as one of the most interesting of the season. Many drivers do like the circuit and the hospitality received during their stay. Being a resident of Bahrain, it will feel like being in my home race.

"The race in Bahrain will be the fourth leg of this year's championship. By that time, we shall be able to know much more about the car's potential. It would be great to be able to score some good points right in front of many of my fans."

The 2009 Formula One Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix will take place from April 24-26 and will see plenty of action and entertainment for families, friends, adults and children as Buemi joins the ranks of Formula One greats in the biggest annual sporting and social occasion in the region. Tickets are available by calling 17450000, online at www.bahraingp.com and at Seef Mall.
