Novotel's La Perle introduces delicious all-new menu

La Perle, the seafront outlet at the Novotel Al Dana Resort, Manama is inviting guests to try out the latest, renewed and improved dinner menu.

Executive Chef Martial Diffor, left, said: "At the all-new La Perle, we have introduced a fusion cuisine, fine dining experience with three set menus on offer. We are also working on a fourth one to be launched soon.

"The menu features various cuisines including Arabic, Oriental, Asian, European and South American."

The three set menus 'The Barbecue', 'The Farmer' and 'The Pearl Menu' each contain a cold appetiser mezze, a hot appetiser mezze and a main course.

Cold mezzes include phyllo pasta with spicy chicken confit and fava bean salad, spiced eggplant caviar with foccacia bread, fried okra salad, green salad with shrimp tartare and fried phyllo and cauliflower panna cotta served with falafel and yoghurt dip talattouri.

Hot mezzes include seafood crab cake with spicy hummus dip, beef cheeks with skordalia, grilled zucchini with whipped feta and zucchini keftede and mushroom cappuccino with cheddar cheese croutons.

For main courses dubbed 'surf and turf' there are both meat and fish options on all three menus including barbecued beef braised short ribs and parsley garlic sautŽed clam with pomegranate syrup, apricot and nut stuffed roast chicken with grilled jumbo shrimps and chateaubriand served with broiled lobster and bŽarnaise sauce.

The seafood dishes include lobster, grilled jumbo shrimp with soy lemonade hollandaise sauce and parsley and garlic sautŽed clam.

Desserts include lemon tart with prune preserve, pear clafoutis, crme brulee, chocolate mousse and New York cheese cake.

The venue is also offering a 'testing menu' which is a promotional treat where diners can try the new menu at a cost of BD10 exclusive of taxes and service charges.

Chef Martial said: "We are planning to create an atmosphere where the local Bahrainis as well as the expatriate and tourists will not feel out of place."

The outlet will be open daily from 7pm to midnight and will host a new band every three months who will play at the restaurant and follow up to the Bellevue Lounge except on Thursdays when the lounge has a DJ.
