Mark Holmans and Alistair Ellerby won the fifth and penultimate match in the Coors Light Summer Night Golf Series with a score of 28 points pushing them up to second place overall in the series' Order of Merit. The pairing of Andy Dick and John Norris came second in the match with 25 points while husband and wife team Jeff and Val Wright were third with 24 points.
Nearest the pin side contests on holes 12 and 16 were won by Craig McPheator and Alistair Ellerby respectively
Wayne Giles and John McIsaac are still at the top of the Coors Light leader board for the third week running now, with 10 points while Club Captain Alan Horne and his wife Marion have slipped from second to third position with six points.
The final match in the highly popular series, which is being played out at the Royal Golf Club, will take place next Monday evening. The leading pairs on the Order of Merit will compete in the foursomes format for the grand prize and the tournament will conclude with a prize-giving ceremony.
