DHL has stepped in again to officially sponsor the American Mission Hospital (AMH) 2009 Island Classic charity golf tournament which will be held from tomorrow to Saturday on His Majesty the King's private golf course.
Andy Broughton, commercial manager of DHL Express said: "As gold sponsors of the Island Classic charity golf tournament, we are proud to ship the prizes for the winning golfers who are playing golf to raise money for this charitable cause, the American Mission Hospital equipment fund."
AMH chief medical officer/CEO Dr Paul Armerding added: "We are extremely grateful to DHL for their support of the AMH Island Classic 2009. We are also excited that this year the DHL team will include European Tour golfer Iain Pyman. Pyman holds the record for the lowest score in the US Masters golf as an amateur, a position he shares with Tiger Woods."
Bahnaz Abbas, AMH marketing and development co-ordinator, said: "The AMH Island Classic Charity golf tournament organisers thank DHL for their continued support. We are grateful to DHL for sponsoring the shipping of our equipment and other items for the tournament which helps us to continue to run the tournament smoothly.
"We also look forward to welcoming Pyman as part of the DHL golf team and know that this year's team will add a bit of excitement to the tournament."
