Wednesday (Dec 2)Film - Anger Management on Fox Movies at 11pm.

After a misunderstanding aboard an airplane that escalates out of control, the mild-mannered Dave Buznik (Adam Sandler) is ordered by Judge Daniels to attend anger management sessions run by Doctor Buddy Rydell (Jack Nicholson). Buddy's unorthodox approach to therapy is confrontational and abrasive and Dave is bewildered by it. But Buddy finally goes too far and Dave must decide whether to crawl back into his shell or stand up for himself.

Jane Goodale (Ashley Judd) has everything going for her. She's a producer on a popular daytime talk show and is in a hot romance with the show's dashing executive, Ray. But when the relationship goes awry, Jane begins an extensive study of the male animal in an attempt to understand how and why Ray has so suddenly and inexplicably jilted her. Along the way, she puts her 'studies' and romantic misadventures to use as a pseudonymous sex columnist - and becomes a sensation in the process.

Animation - Horton Hears a Who on Star Movies at 8.30pm.

From the creators of Ice Age comes this animated blockbuster. Based on the beloved Dr Seuss book Horton Hears a Who, the film follows an imaginative jungle elephant named Horton (Jim Carrey) who hears a faint cry coming from a tiny speck of dust. As he discovers, the speck is home to a microscopic race of people and carries an entire city named Who-Ville. Who-ville's mayor (Steve Carell) and Horton realise that the city is at risk of being destroyed. Despite facing ridicule from his neighbours, Horton is determined to save the particle... and the residents of Who-ville.

SATURDAY (Dec 5)

Film - E.T.: The Extra-Terrestrial on Fox Movies at 11pm.

An extra-terrestrial is accidentally left behind on Earth and is befriended by a young boy and his brother and sister. As Elliot attempts to help his extra-terrestrial companion contact his home planet so that he might be rescued, the children must elude scientists and government agents determined to apprehend the alien for their own purposes, which results in an adventure greater than any of them could have imagined.

SUNDAY (Dec 6)

Film - Epic Movie on Fox Movies at 11pm.

In the spirit of 'Scary Movie' and 'Date Movie', a parody that spoofs recent mega-blockbusters. The comedy centres itself around four orphans who visit a chocolate factory and are transported to the wonderful land of Gnarnia, after stumbling upon an enchanted wardrobe. There they battle pirates, encounter earnest wizards and attempt to defeat Gnarnia's dastardly White Bitch.

MONDAY (Dec 7)

Film - Watching the Detectives on Star Movies at 8.30pm.

Neil (Cillian Murphy) is a self-proclaimed film geek and owner of Gumshoe video. He has always been content to live vicariously through his favourite films noir. But when he meets Violet (Lucy Liu), a real-life femme fatale, his mundane world gets turned upside down and the line between reality and the movies quickly begins to blur.

TUESDAY (Dec 8)

Film - Lake Placid on Star Movies at 8.30pm.

Two years ago, a pair of 30-foot-long prehistoric crocodiles terrorised the residents of Lake Placid. While most of the locals assumed the nightmare had ended when the murderous creatures were killed, local crocodile lover Sadie (Cloris Leachman) knows that the truth is far more terrifying. Beneath the surface of Lake Placid, the remaining predators have been quietly reproducing and awaiting the moment they will emerge from the water to cement their status on the top of the food chain.
