MORE than 1,000 community champions are set to visit Bahrain to participate in the Rotary International 74th District 2450 Conference from April 30 to May 1.
The conference which is being held on the island for the fourth time will be staged at the Gulf Hotel's convention centre in Adliya.
Held under the patronage of HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Deputer Supreme Commander, the conference will play host to nine participating countries from three continents - Armenia, Cyprus, Egypt, Georgia, Jordan, Lebanon, Sudan and UAE. Palestinian Rotarians have also been invited to join the conference.
Mazen Alumran, district conference chairperson of Rotary International District 2450, said: "Through this conference we hope to promote Bahrain as well as support Rotary activities. Any proceeds from this conference will go to the children who suffer from heart problems."
Rotary International is divided into several administrative districts and Bahrain is part of District 2450. The annual conference rotates between each country by consensus.
