After tournaments in Dubai and Abu Dhabi, the 2010 Middle East leg of the world's largest amateur golf tournament, the Audi quattro Cup, now arrives to Bahrain.
The tournament will be held in Bahrain for the first time in its history on Saturday at the Royal Golf Club, Riffa.
Further tournaments will take place in Kuwait and Syria, with all winners proceeding to the Middle East Regional Final, where they compete for their ticket to the World Final in Sardinia, Italy, in October.
The year 2010 marks the 20th anniversary of the Audi quattro Cup. In 2009, more than 82,000 golfers from 47 countries took part in 730 tournaments worldwide.
Pieter Kruger, dealer principal of Audi Bahrain, said: "We are proud to bring such a prestigious event to Bahrain for the first time. We hope that the Bahrain winners will go on to the World Finals in Sardinia and, who W, maybe come back as world champions."
