The British Club of Bahrain 75th anniversary celebration with a line-up of three tribute acts - Killer Queen, Madonna and Tina Turner - has sold out.

DHL Express-Bahrain will host The Memorial Trophy competition featuring DHL Barbarians versus Bahrain Selected at the Rugby Club in Saar with kick-off at 7.30pm. All proceeds will be donated to the BSPCA and St Christopher's Church. The game is being held in memory of DHL staff who lost their lives in Kabul in 2008.

Saudi DJ Baloo will perform at the Coral Beach Club. Doors open at 9pm with a warm-up set by Mr. K and Baloo goes on at 11pm sharp. Tickets are available at the door and are priced at BD7 for men and BD5 for ladies. For details contact 39649590.

The Hard Rock CafŽ in Hoora has launched its first Ambassador of Rock (AOR) Karaoke Singing Competition with rounds every Friday until May 21. Two weekly winners will be selected to compete on the final round on May 27 at the CafŽ. The winner on the final night will have the chance to attend concerts at 'Hard Rock Calling' in London's Hyde Park on June 25-27 featuring Paul McCartney, Lionel Ritchie and Pearl Jam. A collective women's exhibition titled 'Stare at the Other Side...' will open at 7pm at the Albareh Art Gallery in Adliya. Eleven women artists chosen from Bahrain and the region will display canvases or photographs depicting their vision of art. The exhibition is an open invitation. Participating artists are Faika Al Hassan, Haela Alwaari, Lobna Al Amin and Nabila Al Khayer from Bahrain, Bahrain-based Egyptian artists Jehan Saleh and Karima Taha, Leila Chalabi and Zena Assi from Lebanon, Shadi Ghadirian from Iran, Shereen Audi from Jordan and Stephanie Devico from Morocco.
