A preview of 'Nilavu', the first full-length Malayalam feature film made in Bahrain will be shown at the Bahrain Keraleeya Samajam at 11.30am in the presence of renowned Indian director, Hariharan. The film was written and directed by Ajith Nair and produced by Devan. The movie portrays the simple but subtle emotions of expatriates living in the Gulf and the relationship between two lonely individuals who met by chance. The cast includes co-producer Krishnan Haridas as Hari and Sunita Nedungadi as Lakshmi.

A photography workshop for children will be held at the Alriwaq Art Space in Adliya by Nedhal Nooh from 4pm to 6pm.
The workshop will be held for six sessions, every Saturday, for children aged eight to 12 and will cost BD60. Participants are encouraged to use compact cameras to get good photos of the subjects in a competition-like workshop including best family photo, best pet photo, best self-portrait, best 'my room' photo and the funniest photo. The Albareh Art Gallery in Adliya is showcasing the works of Bahraini artist Omar Al Rashid at a solo exhibition entitled 'Encounter' until November 6. Omar's work reflects tradition, customs and Arabic heritage. His 20 paintings include Arabic women draped in black cloaks/Abayas and colourful fabrics. A solo exhibition entitled 'The Man' by Jaffar Al Oraibi will be held until December 5 at the Al Riwaq Art Space in Adliya. It is a series of different interpretations and perceptions the artist has unfolded throughout his artistic process. He has won numerous awards for his work including the first prize at the Qatari Diar Art Symposium and special recognition at the 32nd Annual Plastic Arts exhibition at Bahrain's National Museum.
