The 7th Mothercare Inter School Quiz Contest will be held on January 14 at the Bahrain Keraleeya Samajam Diamond Jubilee Hall at 7.30 pm.

Organised by AMICOS (Association of Mar Ivanios College Old Students), the event will once more be conducted by international quizmaster, Derek O'Brien.

Each team is to consist of one seventh grader (no older than 13) and one eighth grader (no older than 14).

A school can enrol any number of teams for the preliminary round but only one team from a school will be selected to participate in the finals.

The preliminary written round will be held on January 12 at the Oasis Centre, Riffa. Six highest scoring teams from six different schools in the preliminary round will make it to the finals with Derek. Certificates signed by the star will be presented to all participants.

The winners and finalists of 2011 quiz contest stand to win laptops, LCD TVs, home theatre and other exciting prizes. The winning school gets the AMICOS rolling trophy. Schools will soon be given the participation kits and Saturday will be the last day for submitting the registration forms to the office of Synergy Middle East in Hoora.
