THE annual Curves Food Drive will continue until April 15 to enable more women in the kingdom to show their philanthropic strength by participating.
And, even though donating food to people in need is its own reward, the club is offering compelling incentives for both existing and potential members.
Curves is collecting non-perishable items and monetary donations for local charities. The goal, says Pam Korbely of Curves, is for the community to come together to help people in need. The campaign was launched in March and was affected by the recent civil unrest, closures and many expat families leaving the island. But Pam said: "People are coming back and I'd like to extend the food drive into April.
"At the core of our business is the message that women are stronger when they rally together, and that is the point we hope to bring home with our food drive.
"We want to show our community just how powerful the generosity of our members can be."
Members who donate a bag of groceries or make a donation during the campaign will receive a reusable Curves grocery bag for free. Non-members who do likewise can join Curves at a reduced cost.
