The Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA) has extended the deadline for its second annual art competition to May 9 to allow wider participation, which would complement and foster its online safety initiative in Bahrain and enable more students at schools and universities to participate.
The organisers would like to thank all those who have already submitted works of art through the TRA's office or through the Ministry of Education and would like to encourage those who are yet to register to do so by visiting www.tra.bh
Basil Al Arrayed, the TRA's director of communications and consumer, said: "The main objective of this year's art competition is to raise awareness of online safety that has become a subject of growing concern in recent years."
Since its establishment in 2002 the TRA has been working with the government, consumers, operators and investors to develop the kingdom into the region's most modern communications hub and to facilitate the growth of the market.
