Marriott Executive Apartments Manama has been recognised as ‘Hotel of the Year’ among all the Marriott properties in the Middle East and Africa as well as picking up three additional prestigious awards.
The property was awarded for ‘Spirit to Serve the Community 2010’, recognising the involvement of the hotel’s staff members, known as associates, with the local community such as the World Food Programme and helping at the RIA school for children with special needs.
The company also claimed the ‘Employee Engagement Excellence 2010’ accolade, after achieving the highest score for associate satisfaction, and ‘Customer Excellence 2010’, based on the results of guest satisfaction surveys.
The ceremony took place at the Jordan Valley Dead Sea Resort. Company general manager Sam Van Campenhout attended and extended his appreciation for the team. “This is a fantastic recognition for the property and I feel honoured to be part of Marriott Executive Apartments Bahrain.”
He also thanked Shaikh Hisham bin Abdulrahman Al Khalifa, chairman of the Gulf Touristic Project, for his ‘wonderful support’.
The upcoming opening of the new and first Residence Inn-branded property in the Middle East will be another opportunity to establish further the success of the company in the region and create more opportunities for associates to grow further, added Mr Van Campenhout.
