Is it just me or is it getting colder? Just when you think the sunshine and warmth have returned from their little festive holiday another burst of cold windy weather seems to incessantly howl around the doors and windows of our homes and offices.
In fact, the fleece I bought a while ago has been getting far too much use for my liking and like me, you’re all hoping for the temperature gauge in the car to get to the sort of numbers you take a picture of with your phone (whilst stationery, of course!) and send to all your friends around the world.
So my freshly-purchased mountain bike is currently a very convenient clothes hanger in my hallway until the wind subsides to something less aggressive, and my swimming shorts will stay tucked away for a few more weeks.
Talking of cold weather, I was chatting online to a mate in Spain earlier today where they were expecting freezing temperatures overnight and having to defrost the car in the morning – slightly colder than here then, eh? So I wondered if we could try and warm things up a bit for a Wednesday morning, and hopefully for the weekend and beyond by compiling some hotter songs for GulfWeekly readers.
How about putting some of these on in the car to warm your journeys up a little bit: Fire – Pointer Sisters Hot Stuff – Craig David Heatwave – The Jam Light My Fire – The Doors Steal My Sunshine – Len Fire Burning – Sean Kingston Hot In The City – Billy Idol
With my fleece wrapped around me and my feet bearing two pairs of socks to keep warm, have a great weekend and I’ll leave with another little gem: If you’re having trouble getting your children’s attention – just sit down and look comfortable.
