THE Ladies ‘Excuse Me’ competition was held at Awali Golf Club in perfect conditions last Sunday. The competition was played in the stableford format and the teams consisted of one lady and three ‘gentlemen’.
The team of Sue Scott, Anil Nair, Jeffery Barrett and David Isaacs (Sue’s Blues) were the winners with a fantastic score of 117 points. In second place was the team of Nicky Bailey, David Bailey, Keith Hindmarsh and Abdul Elah Fakhro (Bailey’s Boys) with a score of 113 points. The final podium place was clinched by Rebecca’s Rebels (113 points), who consisted of Rebecca Fisher, Rob Fisher, Atiq Majali and Rahman Amin.
This weekend, the club will be holding the Bud Lite Medal on Friday. Additionally, the Green/Brown Challenge, where players complete nine holes at Awali Golf Club and nine holes at the Royal Golf Club, will take place on Saturday.
