Camera enthusiasts in the kingdom are snapping up the latest development from Fujifilm, the fourth premium camera from the X-Series.

The X-S1 is the brand’s new flagship super-zoom model and its makers say it sets new standards in design and performance and represents a new breed of bridge cameras.

Built in Japan, the body has high-quality metal dials and a rubberised coating. Fitted with a manually operated 26x optical zoom that offers between 24mm and 624mm (in 35mm terms) the X-S1 also benefits from lens-based Image Stabilisation technology and a generous range of exposure modes, including three EXR-specific modes that are able to take advantage of the sensor’s unique pixel arrangement.

Add to this 1080p Full HD movie recording at 30fps, solid build quality and a high-resolution 1.14m pixel electronic viewfinder.

Keitaro So, general manager, Fujifilm Electronics Imaging Division, MENA, said: “The super zoom capability is the unique feature in this camera which I feel photographers will be most interested in.”
