Kerry Diaper was crowned overall winner of the 45th edition of the Kanoo Cup held at Awali Golf Club with an outstanding nett 63 (gross 94). Ali Musbah took the medal winner prize with an impressive gross 71.
In the first division, Mohammed Amin (nett 66), Salah Musbah (nett 66) and Ebrahim Al Hashel (nett 67) claimed the podium positions.
In the second division, Awali Golf Club committee member Steve Brown fired a nett 66 to beat Nathan Price (nett 67) and Tony Kirkman (nett 68) who finished in second and third places respectively.
In the third division, Christian Trzebinski won for the second week in a row with a wonderful round of nett 66. Joan Martin also scored a nett 66 to claim second place, just ahead of Susan Scott who finished with a 67. Jeff Barret also scored a nett 67 but lost out on count back.
In the side contests, Yvonne Newall and Ali Musbah won the ladies and gents nearest the pin contests. David Turner was ‘King of the Par 3’s’ playing them in four under par and yeung Back Kim won a special prize for finishing in 45th place on the day.
