The husband and wife pair of Rob and Samantha Jones clinched the Royal Golf Club Mixed Open title with an impressive two-round score of 123.6 on the club’s Montgomerie championship course.
A stunning greensomes score of nett 60.8 on the final day’s play was added to the pair’s first day score of nett 62.8 giving them a nine shot lead over the second-placed husband and wife pairing of Jason and Sanne Smith who finished with 132.4. Kevin Ross and Sara Axtell made up the top three finishing on 133.6 nett.
“It’s been a fantastic weekend, and even the scorching weather on Friday didn’t stop everyone from having two great rounds of golf,” said John Wilson, the club’s golf operations and events manager.
