Football enthusiasts in Bahrain have one last chance to
train in the UK as part of the VIVA Manchester United Soccer Schools 2012
programme.
Hundreds of registrations have already been received but
VIVA Bahrain has extended registrations until tonight to allow more young
players the opportunity to live their footballing dream.
Boys and girls, between 12-15 years of age and residents in
Bahrain, are being invited to put their names forward for the chance of
attending one of the world’s top training camps at Myerscough College in
England.
Registrations for the week-long programme will now close at
10pm at the VIVA Manchester United Zone at Bahrain City Centre. Young players
registered will also automatically enter a draw to win an exclusive Manchester
United shirt signed by all the players.
Eighteen lucky winners from Bahrain will enjoy an all-expenses
paid trip to get the full unique Manchester United experience by living on
campus and training under the expert guidance of UEFA-certified coaches with 30
other young players from UAE and Kuwait.
Registered footballers will be notified of their designated
audition slot via their VIVA line at the beginning of June. The initial
screening will take place from June 4-6 at the Bahrain Football Association
training pitches, adjacent to the National Stadium in Isa Town.
Local coaches certified by the Bahrain Football Association
will view the performance of all players and select a total of 120 footballers
who will go onto the final selection weekend on June 8-9. Manchester United
Soccer School coaches will be flying in from the UK especially to select the
final 18.
