The new Four Seasons Hotel Bahrain Bay is predicted to result in direct and indirect economic benefits for Bahrain that will equal approximately $300 million over the next five to seven years, says its management team.

The 50-storey tall project – 201 metres in height – is scheduled for completion in April 2014 and is currently ahead of schedule, with the fifth level of towers now completed and more than 500,000 accident-free working hours logged on site.

Contractor Six Construct – who have developed major projects in the region such as Dubai’s Burj Khalifa, Abu Dhabi’s Ferrari World, Doha’s Khalifa Stadium and Bahrain’s North Manama Causeway – have a 1,200-strong team, who are utilising a two-shift work pattern to optimise project completion.

Situated on a private island at the heart of Bahrain Bay – a newly-developed waterfront community – the luxury hotel is set to inject new capital and create further careers in the real estate and hospitality sectors upon its completion. The project has already created more than 700 jobs.

Bob Vincent, general manager of Bayside Developments who is overseeing the project’s implementation, said: “This project is key not just for the real estate sector, but also on a national economic level. As one of the cornerstone components of Bahrain Bay, we all understand that a project of this scale is an opportunity to demonstrate Bahrain’s emergence from the global financial crisis, and its sustainability as a GCC tourism hub.”

The Four Seasons will boast 263 guest rooms, complete with spa and leisure facilities, a suspended ‘Sky Pod’ restaurant, meeting and event space, four restaurtants and panoramic city and sea views for guestrooms and suites.
