Khalifa Daij shot the best round of the night in week five of the VIVA Junior Saturday Series at the Royal Golf Club, scoring a two over par 29 and securing a win in the under-21 age category.
Meanwhile, Abdulla Essa was the fifth different winner in five weeks in the under-16 category, ensuring that positions are very tight in the order of merit for this section. Ali Ehab Ali was runner up for the second week in a row after the pair tied on 33 but he unfortunately lost on count back.
In the under-12 category Taimur Malik shot 32 to continue his winning streak. The steadily improving Jesper Lawson Dick was runner up only four shots back, finishing with 36.
The VIVA Junior Saturday Series, which will run throughout the summer, gives promising junior golfers the opportunity to hone their skills. The final order of merit winners in each category will receive a Huawei X5 android phone courtesy of VIVA.
