Ebrahim K Kanoo, the sole distributor of Toyota in the kingdom, launched the fourth-generation of the 2013 RAV4 SUV’s at its showroom in Sitra followed by an unveiling at Bahrain City Centre last week.
Both events were attended by Toyota’s top officials and Ebrahim K Kanoo’s management team. The new models, the two-wheel and four-wheel drive vehicles, are a bold reinvention and offer balanced performance and capability, while still being engaging and fun to drive.
Nobuyuki Negishi, chief representative, Middle East and North Africa Representative Office, Toyota Motor Corporation, said: “The 2013 RAV4 draws on the innovative heritage of the original model which started an industry trend and sets a new standard for the compact SUV market.
“It offers customers a distinctive, sophisticated ‘Dynamic and Strong’ styling, refined, premium-quality interior design, a new Dynamic Torque Control 4WD.”
He added that the RAV4 comes with the assurance of three generations of satisfied customers.
Makoto Arimoto, RAV4’s chief engineer at Toyota, said: “We have achieved a sportier driving experience characteristic of a 4WD vehicle while enhancing the agile handling performance that is highly regarded in the current model. I am confident that customers will be impressed by the new-generation RAV4.”
The starting price for the 2WD is BD9,500 and BD10,400 for the 4WD.
