British sci-fi series Dr Who will soon be celebrating its 50th anniversary and is offering fans the opportunity to watch the Doctor in a special 3D episode.
To mark the anniversary, an episode of the show will be shot in 3D for the first time ever. It will be part of a series of special events to celebrate the show’s milestone.
An official statement on the BBC One Twitter account said: “As part of the 50th Doctor Who celebrations, we’ll be broadcasting the Time Lord and his Tardis in 3D for the first time!”
Showrunner Steven Moffat added: “It’s about time. Technology has finally caught up with Doctor Who and your television is now bigger on the inside. It’s a whole new dimension of adventure for the Doctor to explore.”

It promises to explore all aspects of the series to date, while also looking at the many personalities involved in bringing it to life.
