The Whisperer

An expat friend of the Whisperer has been busy organising his annual leave over Christmas and has suffered from a serious case of the online airline booking blues. It seemed a simple task at first, because of work commitments he would travel a week later to the UK and because of family commitments his wife would return back to Bahrain a few days later than him. Their son would travel with mum and return with dad. So far, so good? You’d be surprised. Unfortunately the KLM online booking service would have nothing to do with it. If the child is travelling with mum, he has to return with mum … unless, of course, you want to call into a booking office and pay extra for an agent to do the necessary on her computer and allow him to travel back with his father.

And by the way, you can pay at the office for all your tickets too but you’ll have to use a credit card because there is an additional fee for paying with cash!

The world has gone bonkers.
