Good luck to Kerry Knight who is training in Bahrain for a marathon bike ride across India to raise awareness of Parkinson’s disease. To have the disease diagnosed at such a young age must have been devastating for her and her family, but as your headline stated in last week’s issue, true grit, is driving her forward and she will not allow it to keep her down.
Well done, Kerry, and well done GulfWeekly for reporting such an inspirational story on your front page and online.
Claire Peterson, Saudi Arabia.
With reference to your report about the intelligent white cane developed to improve the mobility and independence of blind and visually-impaired people, as featured in last week’s Techtronic Specials page in GulfWeekly.
The I-Cane Mobilo costs in the Netherlands €1,750 (approximately BD900). A smartphone is not included!
It is not yet available in the US or the UK. At first we will be launching it in the Netherlands, soon followed by Germany and Belgium. After these three countries we will try to go worldwide.
